South Miami Cardiologist - Dr. Phillip ErwinDr. Phillip Erwin is an interventional cardiologist with special expertise in complex coronary artery disease and valvular aortic stenosis. In addition to his interventional practice, Dr. Erwin prides himself on a large preventive cardiology practice, where he takes a holistic approach to cardiovascular health.

Originally from New York City, Dr. Erwin attended Harvard Medical School. He then completed internal residency training at Harvard’s Massachusetts General Hospital. His training in cardiovascular medicine was at New York’s Mount Sinai School of Medicine, followed by two years of advanced training in coronary, structural, and vascular intervention at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. There, Dr. Erwin served as Chief Fellow and joined the faculty at the end of his training. In addition to his formal training, Dr. Erwin has trained in minimally invasive interventional techniques at the University of Freiburg in Germany.

Dr. Erwin joined our practice in 2016 and sees patients daily at our South Miami office with same or next day appointment availability. He does procedures at Baptist Hospital, South Miami Hospital, and Mercy Hospital. He speaks English, French, Haitian Creole, and Spanish.
